Surrendering Your Dog

Prior to considering surrendering your dog, Warrior Dog Rescue asks that you read the following note from Jenny with Behavior Matters Pet Training.

Behavioral concerns can be difficult to live with, whether it is resource guarding, basic manners or a dog that is reactive with people coming into your home, there are solutions to help so that your family can stay intact! Rescue dogs can come with a lot of complications, they are not trying to be bad dogs they have just likely had a history with people that was not built out of trust and love. Training, management, and behavioral modification does not have to be time consuming, there are ways to set up the environment for success for your pet to offer a preferred behavior.  Jenny is a certified veterinary technician (CVT), veterinary technician specialist (Behavior),  Low Stress Handling CertifiedFear Free Certified Elite, a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy (KPA-CTP), and the past president of The Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians. She has helped MANY of our Warrior Dogs learn to trust and live a happy, balanced life. Jenny’s website can be found by clicking on the link below.
