Little Fighters: Celebrating Resiliency
Little Fighters Program
Because every dog deserves a chance at the good dog life.
At Warrior Dog Rescue, we believe that every dog deserves a shot at the good dog life—especially those facing unique challenges. That’s why we created Little Fighters, a special program dedicated to celebrating and supporting dogs with disabilities. These incredible pups have faced obstacles with resilience, love, and an unbreakable spirit.
Dogs with disabilities are often overlooked, but they are just as deserving of love, happiness, and family. By giving them the spotlight, we hope to change perceptions, inspire compassion, and help them find the perfect match.
Together, we can give these brave souls the second chance they deserve. Thank you for being part of their journey!
What is the Little Fighters Program?
Celebrate Their Journey
Through Little Fighters, we share the inspiring stories of dogs who show remarkable courage and resilience. Their experiences remind us that life’s challenges don’t define us—love and determination do.
Find Loving Homes
By telling their stories, we help these special dogs connect with adopters who see their worth, understand their needs, and are ready to give them the forever homes they deserve.
Provide Critical Support
Funds raised through Little Fighters directly support medical care, specialized equipment, therapy, and the resources these dogs need to live happy, fulfilling lives.
Meet Our Little Fighters
Each dog in our Little Fighters program has a powerful story to tell. From mobility challenges and autoimmune diseases to vision and hearing impairments, amputations, neurological conditions, and chronic illnesses — these dogs embody bravery, resilience, and an endless capacity for love.

Felicity
Hi! My name is Felicity. I am a playful, spunky and snuggly puppy looking for my furever family.
I currently live in a foster home with human parents and teenagers, as well as a pack of wonderful older dogs who have taught me the ropes! I have done well with the little kids I have met that are respectful of me.
I go potty outside on a schedule and do well freely in the backyard. I also do well going potty on a leash. I am crate trained and sleep in my crate at night and when my foster family isn’t home. I go in happily with a treat and love my cozy bed. I love seeing humans in the mornings and greeting my dog friends when we get up for the day!
Some of my favorite things are:
- Jumping up on the couch with my foster family to cuddle
- Getting treats; I am learning from the other dogs to sit and wait my turn.
- Playing with toys and exploring outside in the yard. I’m great at playing fetch!
- Playing with my pup friends. It’s so fun to run around the yard and play chase with them.
I am one special pup looking for that special family to love! I am excited to meet you!
Felicity is a little fighter who has been diagnosed with autoimmune disease called Canine dermatomyositis (DMS) which is an inherited disease that causes inflammation of the skin, muscles, and blood vessels in dogs. She deserves to find her family just like every other dog up for adoption in rescue. If you feel you can provide her with all that she needs, a lifetime of love and care, snuggles and commitment, please make sure to fill out an adoption application.

Andy
Hi! My name is Andy!
I love hanging out with my foster dog siblings and cuddling on the couch with them or with my foster mom. I’m an Alabama boy and you’d think I would hate the snow, but not me! I love wrestling and chasing my ball in the snow. I am great at playing with my ball all by myself! I also love lick mats, bones and stuffed toys. Anything that squeaks is totally my jam!
My foster mom says I am super smart and would do well with learning new tricks. I already know sit, touch and watch me. I also know banana means come quickly for good treats. I am always the fastest one back inside!
I can be shy when meeting new people, but seem to do better when another dog friend is there to show me how great people can be, especially when they have treats!
I hope you and your dog will be interested in a handsome guy like me. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Stella Jane
Who has four paws, the softest fur, and the sweetest soul? It’s me, Stella Jane! 🐾💛
My absolute favorite things in the world are cuddling on the couch with my foster mom and dad, playing with my foster dog siblings, and gathering all my favorite toys and bones in my special spot. If your idea of a perfect day includes binge-watching Netflix or cheering on your favorite team, then I’m the girl for you!
Since arriving in Minnesota, I’ve been discovering just how wonderful life can be. My foster family has shown me love, comfort, and patience, and I know my perfect forever home is out there waiting. I’d love a home with another dog who can be my buddy and help me continue to build my confidence. I do best in a quieter home with teenagers or adults, as I’m not the biggest fan of the energy that comes with younger kids.
If you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion to share cozy moments with, I’d love to meet you! 💕
Our sweet Stella Jane is part of our Little Fighters program. She is taking daily supplements for joint stiffness in her elbows.

Olivia
Meet Olivia – Your Adventure Buddy!
Hi there, I’m Olivia! I’m a fun-loving, adventurous girl with the prettiest icy blue eyes (or so I’m told!). But I’m not just a pretty face—I’ve got the brains to match! I already know how to sit, shake, and lay down, and if you’ve got treats and love, I’m always excited to learn more.
My favorite thing in the world? Being outside! Long walks, exploring new trails, and feeling the wind in my fur—yes, please! I’d love a human who enjoys the great outdoors as much as I do and will take me along for all kinds of adventures.
I prefer to be the only dog in the home—I like having all the love and attention to myself! But don’t worry, I have plenty of love to give and will be the best adventure partner you could ask for.
After a day of fun, I’m all about relaxing and snuggling up beside you. If you’re looking for a best friend who’s smart, sweet, and full of life, I think we’d make the perfect team.
I’m also part of Warrior Dog Rescue’s Little Fighters program because I’ve had two seizures and take daily anti-seizure medication to stay healthy. But that doesn’t slow me down one bit—I’m ready for a lifetime of love and adventure! Come meet me—I can’t wait to start our journey together! 🐾💙
